When the clock strikes 0…

The Recordbuilds community crowns a Build of the Week winner.

The countdown ends every Sunday at 5 PM Pacific. When it hits zero, our system pulls the top community setups from that week, records the winner, and we reward them with a free vinyl record of their choice.

This is our small way of giving back to the people who are sharing their setups, voting, forking builds, and just being great humans overall.

Thank you for being here.

Each week, we use our weekly setup RSS feed to pull the "top" build.

The ranking is based on activity from the week, including upvotes and other setup activity like forks and engagement.

We do not manually pick the winner.

When the timer ends, the top setup gets recorded as the Build of the Week Winner and receives a permanent badge on Recordbuilds.

We may also share the top setups on the Recordbuilds Vinyl Setup Of The Week Facebook page, r/Recordbuilds, and other Recordbuilds community channels.

If your setup wins Build of the Week, we will reach out by email or social DM.

The winner gets a free record of their choice, based on availability and a few favorite artists you send us.

We'll do our best to source a record you actually want.

If we can't find the record, if it is unavailable, or if shipping gets unreasonable, we may provide a $25 PayPal payment instead.

Recordbuilds can adjust or pause this at any time if people try to game the system, abuse voting, or generally make it weird.

That's it.
